Essentially faithful to Bing Crosby's 1954 movie, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas features all the beloved music written by Irving Berlin in a merry and bright Broadway experience full of dancing, laughter and plenty of snow!

Telling the story of a song-and-dance team who put on a show in a magical Vermont inn, Irving Berlin's White Christmas is an old-fashioned, heartwarming story.  World War II buddies, Bob and Phil, make up the dazzling showbiz duo who meet and fall for a performing sister-act, Betty and Judy, before heading for a snow-laden Christmas in Vermont. When their train arrives, there's not a snowflake in sight and chances of it falling appear dim.

Bob and Phil discover that the inn is owned by their former commanding officer, General Waverly, who invested all of his savings into the lodge. Now its in danger of closing because there's no snow and no guests. To generate business for the inn, Bob and Phil bring the entire cast and crew of their new musical Playing Around to the inn, and write Betty and Judy into the show. Bob and Betty's relationship blooms, as they spend more time together. Meanwhile, Bob discovers the General's request to rejoin the army has been rejected. He decides to prove to the General that he hasn't been forgotten!

Everyone knows the title song, "White Christmas," but there is also a flurry of other wonderful pieces that are joyously brought to life in the production's splashy numbers and quiet duets. The treasure trove of timeless Berlin tunes helps put anyone in the holiday spirit. The period-costumes were smartly designed by Carrie Robbins and pair perfectly with the magnificent sets, designed by Anna Louizos.

How can you not love the alternating lilts and jolts of "Happy Holiday," "Let Yourself Go," "Sisters," "I Love a Piano," and of course the title track? They're immediate mood-lifters, however they're presented, but they work their magic even more quickly as sung and danced (to Randy Skinner's light-as-air wink-and-flap choreography) by the 33-person cast.

A lot of imagination goes into the jumps, taps and slides that permeate the show’s many musical numbers. An attractive, energetic, and extremely skilled ensemble delivers one solid tap dance number after another. Throughout the musical, it is the choreography that proves, as a song early in the play said so eloquently, “The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing.”
