SEEK is Out of this World
Walton Arts Center's exclusive event for college students and young professionals, SEEK returns in conjunction with Artosphere Festival Orchestra's finale performance.
The theme of this year's Artosphere: Arkansas' Arts and Nature Festival is space, and this performance is a celebration of our closest celestial neighbor, the Moon.
Alongside a screening and narration of the 1902 film "A Trip to the Moon" by Georges Méliès, AFO musicians will perform a collection of works by composers ranging from Strauss, Monteverdi, Bach, Handel, Debussy and Puccini, to the modern likes of John Williams and more.
But this is not your standard orchestra performance!
It's an immersive, accessible and mind-blowing exposition of some of the most famous "space"-themed songs that have ever occupied popular culture, performed alongside intriguing visualizations and narration.
